What is The Floor Slap?
The Floor Slap is a college sports blog with a primary focus on the Big Ten.
College roommates Jordan and Sean started The Floor Slap in hopes to share their love for not just their favorite team, but for the sport as a whole. Here at The Floor Slap, we love every BIG Noon kickoff, the bad blood, the home town heroes, the 7pm tipoffs on Tuesdays, the recruiting battles, the decades on decades of history, and everything else that make Big Ten sports so great.
The Big Ten will be the main focus of the articles but you can’t understand college sports without a national perspective too. So, we will bounce around the national scene too with features on conferences, specific teams, coaches, the pros etc.

Jordan Beckley is from Indianapolis and is a lifelong Purdue Basketball fan. Jordan graduated from Ohio State University in 2019 and still lives in Columbus. Jordan is the Head Writer, Illustrator, and Editor for Basketball and Co-Founder of The Floor Slap.
Sean Szymczak is from New Jersey but raised a die-hard Buckeye fan. He graduated from Ohio State in 2019 with Jordan and recently relocated to Charleston, SC. Now surrounded by Clemson and Alabama fans, his Big Ten pride is as strong as ever. Sean is the Football Managing Editor, Media Director, and Co-Founder of The Floor Slap.
